Telangana Law Common Entrance Test (LAWCET 2017) and Postgraduate Law Common Entrance Test (PGLCET 2017) will be Conducted by Telangana State Hyderabad for Admission into the 3 year and 5 year LL.B / B.L and LL.M Courses Offered by the State Uni
versities in Telangana including their Affiliated Colleges for the Academic year 2017

Colleges and Universities in Telangana Conduct and Entrance Test for Admission into 3 year and 5 year LLB programs This year the Exam Shall be held on 6th June 2017 i.e. on Saturday Application shall be Released from March 2017 onwards

Eligibility for Lawcet–2017

3 year LL.B. Course - The Candidates for 3 year LL.B. should have passed any Graduate Degree (10+2+3 pattern) of a recognized University with 45% of aggregate marks or any other examination recognized as equivalent by the Universities concerned

5 Year LL.B. Course - The Candidates for 5 year LL.B Should have Passed two year Intermediate Examination (10+2 pattern) with 45% of Aggregate marks or any other Examination Recognized as Equivalent by the University Concerned or the Board of Intermediate Education Telangana State

There is a relaxation of 5% of marks in the above qualifying examinations for 3 year / 5 year Law course in favor of the Candidates belonging to SC / ST

Eligibility for Pglcet–2017

Educational Qualifications - Candidates Holding LL.B.. Degree on the Date of Application and Candidates who have Appeared / Appearing for LL.B. Final year Examination are also Eligible

The Candidates Seeking Admission into LL.M. of Osmania University Hyderabad Shall have a Minimum Experience of 3-years as a judicial officer or 3-years Standing as an Advocate on the date of Appearing for PGLCET- 2017

Candidate Appearing for LLB Degree Examinations may take the PGLCET in Anticipation of Results. However he Should Pass at the Time of Counseling

Mere Appearance in PGLCET will not Give any Right of Admission The Candidate Should satisfy all the Eligibility Criteria and Should satisfy Rules Governing Admission as are Applicable

Nationality and Domicile
The Candidate Should be an Indian National and should satisfy Local / Unreserved Status requirement as laid down in the Telangana Educational Institutions Order 1974 and the amendments made there to from time to Time

Instructions Concerning Entrance Test- Candidate Appearing for the Above Qualifying Examinations may also take the LAWCET in Anticipation of Results In case of Such Students their Entry Shall be Subject to Their Securing Eligible marks in the Said Qualifying Examinations

The Applicants who have Obtained 10+2 or Graduation / Post Graduation Through Open Universities System Directly Without Having any basic Qualification for Prosecuting Such Studies are not Eligible for Admission into the law Courses

Age on admission- Subject to the Conditions Stipulated by the Govt. of Telangana on this Behalf the Maximum age limit for a Candidate Seeking Admission into the 3 year and 5 year LL.B Course shall be Thirty Years ( relaxable by five years in case of SCs / STs ) and twenty years (Relaxable by two years in case of SCs /STs Respectively as on December of the year of Seeking Admission

Age Limits Mentioned above are under Challenge in Hobble High Court of (AP) Telangana and Supreme Court in W.P.No.6691/09, 7610/09 and transfer Petition (civil) nos 857-866 of 2009 in Supreme Court. Interim Directions are Awarded by the Court Relaxing the age Limits Admissions into the law Courses Shall be Subject to the Outcome of the Pending cases

Mere Appearance in LAWCET will not Give any right of Admission The Candidate Should Satisfy all the Eligibility Criteria and Should satisfy Rules Governing Admission as are Applicable

Admission Regulations of Osmania University will be Followed in Respect of Age Criteria for Admission into 3yrs / 5yrs LL.B Law Courses in the Constituent Law Colleges of Osmania University
